Wildernesse Golf Club

What we say
The course carves its way through a picturesque parkland landscape, giving the impression you’re the only one(s) on the course. There are some devilish pin positions and the greens are fast and tricky to read. Have a good map to hand, though, as Wildernesse isn’t the easiest place to find.
The Club was formed in 1890 and it is arguably one of the finest inland courses in the county; with narrow fairways and thickly wooded, it is also one of the toughest. It is a course where both straight driving and attention to well-placed bunkers is essential. Although it has a few slopes and affords easy walking, it is still difficult to beat par. Wildernesse was a pre-qualifying course for the Open Championship between 1998 and 2003.
