Redlibbets Golf Club

Redlibbets Golf and Country Club certainly is a gem nestled in 160 acres of beautiful Kent countryside. The parkland course boasts hundreds of mature beech, oak and chestnut trees and enjoys spectacular panoramic views.

Redlibbets, under new management from August 2018, is now run by a team of golfers with genuine pedigree where the condition of the course is considered as critical to a great day's golf.

The greens are sand based to USGA specification and the rest of the site is free-draining with a chalk subsoil. 

The clubhouse offers wide-reaching views across the site with a balcony that seats 75 people, with additional internal space across three bars for a further 200 people. The resident chef offers an excellent array of dishes and bespoke orders (in advance) can be accommodated.

Historical reviews by visitors frequently makes reference to the outstanding service provided by the club's staff.

  Played on Sunday. The actual course design is good and interesting. Unfortunately, the course condition is poor. Sand-less bunkers, grass-less patches on greens. I guess reason many bunkers had not be raked. It felt like a course that wasn't having enough spent on it.

  I have played redlibbets on numerous occasions and after seeing it in the 2 fore 1 guide thought iut would be worth another go. How wrong I was. The welcome was inhospitable at best with one of my colleagues being told to tuck his shirt in before he ahd even got his golf shoes on or golf clubs out of the car. And £50 without the vouchers. The place is bone dry, the greens had been spikes and the tee boxes look like the result of a california forest fire. Definately not worth £25 quid let alone £50. Clubhouse is nice and the staff in the bar were friendly and polite. The food was reasonable but nowhere near making up for the appaling state of the course. Wont be going back there for a long time.

  I played (2 ball) on 20th March 2010, weather was sunny with some cloudy spells and in the last week we had only 1 afternoon of rain. We used an on line tee time booking facility and paid £25 for the round with a tee off time of 2pm. We had a round of 3 and 1/2 hours which was good as we followed a 3 ball round for most of the round. The start of this course is surprising with 5 par 4's in a row but each one is not only different but fabulously designed with slopes, split fairways (1 hole has the choice of 2 routes!), doglegs and well positioned trees. Infact the Par 4's were the courses strongest point which i find unusual. The Par 3's were a little less 'Wow' and it would have been nice to have a shorter Par 3 with none being less than 150 yards. Par 5's were good and big hitters in summer would find themselves taking them on (it would need 2 great shots however). The Tees were perfectly flat, well grassed (for March) and they had 3 different tee boxes for each hole so i imagine off the whites most pro's would find it a good challange. The greens were ok, a little scruffy but putting was ok and most held ok (for a newish course they were fine). Fairways were in fabulous condition, really well grassed, spongy and when hit off of they were great. The general shaping of fairways, fringes on greens, semi rough etc was not evident and this may have been due to it being March and not summer, however it is a slight negative on an otherwise enjoyable course. Bunkers were full of sand but the sand was very heavy and getting through it was tough, it felt as though they had got them full to get them looking great but sand quality was very average. We did not use the facilities but the club house looked like it was well presented and the pro shop was adequate. I know that the website for the course states that a normal round at weekends is £45...i would definitely not pay this amount as it would be very overpriced, however the £25 we paid felt reasonable for what we got.

  Played June 09. £50 without 2 for 1 £25 with 2 for 1. there having a laugh, not worth £2.50. This course needs water and loads of it. Just completly dry. The course was in a terrible state. Greens where bad,  fringes well these where dust at best. 'Rubbish' Such a shame because the layout is lovely, some great holes. Won't be back. Course; 1/10 Burger; 6/10
