  • 1.5 out of 5 Not the best

Very very busy at all times, have struggled to get on the course even though I've pre-booked tee times, Won't be going back, prefer Broke Hill, much nicer.

  • 2.5 out of 5 Well kept, may be too easy for some

A good course for a high handicapper or beginner, Chelsfield Lakes features many holes between 300 and 350 yards, so better players may only need a driver and a wedge. The course is well kept all year round, but the clubhouse can be overpriced.

  • 1.5 out of 5 Don't bother

    By Just a shot away

Was a memeber here a while back and left purely as I don't like playing 4.30 hr rounds everyday. Only course I have ever par'd and I'm a 12 handicapper. Good for beginners but don't bother otherwise

  • 3.5 out of 5 Short of confidence - this is the place.

    By The Marsh

Yes this course is short, and I have never known it not to be busy. But if your short of confidence this is the place to play. The drainage is excellent so the fairways remain reasonably firm even in winter so good run on the ball. The holes vary in complexion and are not samy samy. The greens are well maintained. Havent scored less than 100 recently. Give this a go.

I was amazed at the change in Chelsfield Lakes recently. Excellent pro shop and staff, brand new driving range and the condition of the course was excellent even in December. Nice lucnh afterwards. Definatley one to play!!

This course is very very short. You only really need to take a 3 wood, a wedge and a putter round with you. Most of the par 4's struggle to make it further than 350 yards with one only 299 yards. The round was also one of the slowest I've played and, I guess in order to make it slightly more challenging they have gane for crazy pin positions. I don't think there was one that was more than 2-3 paces from the corners of large greens. You would get a much fairer and enjoyable round just up the road at High Elms GC, also a public course
