What we say
Wetherby Golf Club is a medium-length parkland golf course that is renowned for its lush fairways. Whilst all 18 holes have individual character and qualities, particularly memorable holes are the seventh, a par 4 which follows the sweeping bend of the River Wharfe, and the 14th (the quarry hole), an intimidating par 3 which has been many an errant golfer's 'Waterloo'. In short, a golf course to test all levels of ability.

The Changes to the course have really let down a wonderful course. When i visited the greens were awful and the fairways were way too long.

This course used to be a relatively short and easy par 71 course, measuring only 6,200 from the back tees. Now however, 6 new holes have been built and significant changes have been made to make the course 6,700 yards of the back tees and very challenging. If you play here, expect to play 5 shots over your handicap! A large clubhouse provides 2 bars, a snooker room and a restaurant serving food from 9am till 7pm. The green fees are reasonably small for the quality of the course coming in at £30 per person. Also the club has it's very own proffesional pro shop selling all golf equipment and very good visitors changing facilities.
