Leeds Golf Centre – The Oaks

What we say
Following a two-year multi-million pound investment programme, Leeds Golf Centre has been transformed into one of The North’s finest all-round golf facilities. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013, the venue is seeking to capitalise yet further on its new-found reputation – both as the self-proclaimed ‘home of modern golf’ and as a vital component in North Leeds’ wider golfing proposition. The star of the show is undoubtedly its newly-remodeled Wike Ridge course which has been designed by Jonathan Gaunt of Gaunt Golf Design in conjunction with Leeds Golf Centre’s management team. New water features, heavily revised bunkering, 1400 relocated trees, new teeing areas and several totally new holes have combined to ensure that the course now offers a more discerning, more engaging and more complete test of golf than its predecessor. Leeds Golf Centre is particularly proud of its market-leading Academy and associated practice facilities which include a floodlit/covered driving range and several very well prepared outdoor areas. Several highly regarded PGA professionals provide group lessons and private tuition to players of all ages and standards, with two FlightScope swing studios giving the facility a sophisticated edge versus rival driving ranges. Significant sums of money have also been channeled into totally refurbishing and re-stocking the Pro Shop, where customers can now purchase a variety of market-leading golf fashion brands as well as a wide selection of all the established hardware manufacturers. Boasting better value pricing than any established high street retailer on gents, ladies and juniors ranges – as well as a high-end custom fitting, club repair and re-gripping service – the LGC Pro Shop is now regarded as North Leeds’ premier golf store. |

Turned up to play only to find that the booking was not on the computer and the course was very busy so unable to play and use 2 for 1 very disappointed.

Played 4 ball with buggies. 2 nd hole a challenge with out of bounds all down the right. More water comes into play since played a few years ago which makes it mor challenging. Great views and lovely to watch the red kites flying overhead. Catering facilities good and reasonably priced and staff friendly.
