What we say
The course is not overlong but the first three opening holes are tough. The first is a 428 yards uphill with a tight out of bounds to the left. The second is a neat par three with what only be described as an outrageous slope from back to front. The third features a hard to hit, narrow fairway. Not the easiest of starts by any means. The course which sits roughly 500 feet above sea level, features undulating fairways which are often susceptable to high winds, making some holes difficult.
Founded in 1920, it has built up its reputation as one of the top golf courses in Sheffield. The course offers a great golfing challenge for everyone whether they are beginners or professional players.
