  A lot of money has been spent on improving the general condition of the course and sorting the drainage. Tees and greens now in good nick with the fariways wells grassed and well drained. But the course lacks character. The are lots of par 4s of about the same length some of which are just perfectly straight with no hazards. A good place for an evening round if you want a decent score to boost your confidence and not much time wasted looking for balls or raking bunkers (as there aren't many). But if you want something interesting or thrilling look elsewhere

  Not the worst course I have ever played but it should really be called 'Swamp Land' instead of Swarland GC.
