Wirral Ladies Golf Club

What we say
A delightfully undulating heathland course that’s par 70 for women and 68 for men. It’s the Wirral’s hidden gem and with short walks between greens and tees is an absolute joy to play, specially the quartet of testing par 3s.

It provides an excellent opportunity for women of all ages and from all backgrounds to participate in the game of golf. the relatively short course of just under 5000 yards, means that a round is possible in under three hours, an important consideration for women with a busy lifestyle.

April golf on a winter course. Roped off areas. Slow play, rude members who carved us up by cutting in.

Played this for a change Last week. Oh dear oh dear. Firstly course info said Course open, it was not there were several temporary greens in play (if you can call them that, the 6th temp was just a muddy patch with a bucket for a hole). The course has clearly took a beating this winter it resembled the local park, sloppy mud everywhere & sunken wheeltracks. Most tees either from the fairway, or long rough couldn't tell which was which or from cheap AstroTurf matts. We played early and the bunkers were not raked, full of animal feet.
-
Atrocious condition, the tees and greens resemble football pitches, as mentioned below GUR even on greens, divots everywhere. Please save your money and go to Bromborough or somewhere nice. People pleasant enough though.
-
Extremley poor condition. GUR in play in june, Greens patchy & long. Fairways long, generally uncared for......Dont Bother.

a great course in great condition from tee to green, fairly short but a great test with some drivable par 4's and some tricky par 3's. All in all very enjoyable golf.
