Didsbury Golf Club

What we say
Didsbury Golf Club was founded as a nine-hole golf course on land near the local railway station in 1891. The front room of the stationmaster's house became its first clubhouse until 1901 when it moved to its present 18-hole site alongside the River Mersey.
Visitors are always welcome, but small groups and individuals must contact the professional or golf club manager to arrange a slot. Society organisers ought to deal directly with the manager to discuss their requirements. Society days tend to be Thursday and Friday but it is not unusual to find a booking available on any day at certain times of the year.

Made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The pro let us play a further 18 holes also. Disappointed to play off temporary tees/greens. From what I gather 2 of the greens are out of action but look absolutely fantastic when able to play. Not too expensive either worked out @ £15 each for around 7.5 hours of play

Played today, no first hole and play on 2 temp greens but rest of course ok. Pricey in pro shop, £11 foe 3 pro v balls. plus found members dont wait to be let through just jump in front on next fair way (rude) but would play again and have food in club house but should open before 11 . head green keeper stewart pugh has done a excellent job

Have played here about 4 times and have always been made to feel welcome. Surrounded by the river Mersey, the course is mostly flat yet long enough to provide plenty of challenge to all. Very well kept throughout the year, only slight snag is the holes accross the motorway, two fairways cross each other. Star hole for me is the par 5 3rd, dogleg right with trees down one side and the river on the other. Good tee shot required from elevated tee, cutting the corner slightly to reach the elevated green in two.
