Blackpool North Shore Golf Club

What we say
There are some quality courses around Blackpool, but Blackpool North Shore Golf Club is something of an unsung hero. This in itself is a mystery, because it’s a decent enough links-type layout with rolling fairways and decent-sized greens. The par 3s are pretty strong and – unusually – they’re all in different directions.
Not up to nearby Royal Lytham standards by any means, but nevertheless a decent enough seaside layout with rolling fairways, well-sized greens and some strong par 3s. It was the handiwork of Harry Colt in 1920 and has held some big events in the past including the PGA Penfold Tournament in 1967.

Blackpool North Shore Golf Club is home of The Lancashire Open and always extends a friendly welcome to visitors. Special offers usually available on green fees and membership. The golf course was designed by HS Colt in 1920 and hosted the Great Britain match with the Rest of the World in 1963, the PGA Penfold Tournament in 1967 and on several occasions has been a qualifying golf course when the Open has been held at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

A good course with a great mix of holes. Not in the greatest of nick as there's a lot of traffic but some clever design and some real challeneges... and there are often good deals to be had....
