The Tytherington Golf Club

What we say
Many holes, specially on the stunning back nine, are capable of resulting in either triumph or disaster. Fittingly, there’s a big climax in the shape of a right dogleg par-4 17th and a thrilling finale with the elevated green sitting in front of the clubhouse.
The Tytherington Golf Club opened in 1986 and sits on gently rolling parkland in the heart of Cheshire, winding through mature woodland and following the natural contours of the 143-acre site. Dave Thomas teamed-up with Patrick Dawson to deliver this Cheshire cracker, which sits within parkland, backed by the Pennines. The 6,765- yard, par-72 layout meanders through mature woodland, with eight water features and 100-plus bunkers.

Had a great round today, 2-4-1 and totally enjoyed, very challenging, but a truly great course. Will be back a few times this year.
-
Surprisingly dry considering all the rain that had fallen and very quiet too. Very interesting course with more contouring than expected, especially on the greens which were both fast and steeply sloped. All the holes are tree lined making the course very narrow and there are a lot of vast bunkers so finding some of them is inevitable. Would recommend giving it a go so long as you are on top form.

this course is the wetest iv played in a long time, forget it if it has rained in the week.
-
Tough course where you need to be playing at your best to score well. Excellent Tees, Greens and Fairways. A bit too wet and muddy in the winter.
