course was in great conditionand greens were nice and cut short, cart wait to play again

I played there on Thursday morning, paying £13 for 18 holes and a full english breakfast. There were a few temporary tees but all the greens were on and in ok condition. I cant pick fault with the place overall but have to be realistic with the scores, I will go back and would recommend going for a day out so cant say any fairer than that.

the netting on the 6th tee is there to stop you drawing a ball in to the wedding garden
-
the tees are uneven witch are going to be redone over the winter months, the bunkers are a problem but iv been told they are allso going to address this over winter. playing there on compition days is risky but any other day is fine. played today and as i never went in any bunkers i had no problem with them, tees need a bit of leveling but had a great game 3over

Agree with the comments about the club house and staff, and would say that the greens have improved over the last few months. BUT, the majority of the tees are in a poor condition, bare patches, holes in the teeing area, uneven lies and general lumps and bumps. As for the bunkers, most are not fit for purpose, lack of sand, hard mud patches, stones, lining showing through, poorly raked. As for playing the course, slow play is a perennial problem; “we are playing a competition” is often quoted as an excuse for not allowing quicker players through. The new safety net on the sixth can be a problem depending on the tee position and if you fade the ball.

when you play a golf course you rate that course not to compair it to st'andrews, there are lots of top club out there that you rate 5 stars for and even more you rate 1 star for, you rate the club on the day you played, ie welcome, the state of the course, clubhouse. members. challenging. iv played st andrews and found the greens poor and the members rude but played pro am there and it was a different matter. i play all over the country and rate the club on the day not on comparison to some were else. pryor hayes is in great condition, greens are excellent, food and club house are second to none, welcome great, came second in best club of the year well done. malc

I cant see how golfers can give 5 stars for Pryors Hayes for anything. It is a good course, friendly with good facilities but never top marks. How would these golfers score St Andrews? I have enjoyed my many rounds at Pryors Hayes and will go back. There are quite a few holes that make you think hard and I really like playing the par 3's. I have never found fault with the greens or tees and the clubhouse is excellent. A good all round test especially when the wind blows!

kidgolf94 you talk crap, played there saturday and the course was in great condition, the food was great and the staff were friendly, made very welcome and the new wedding garden looks great, new teaching bay has all the latested gizmos. i play of plus1 and find it hard that someone of 1 can say and mark 1star on all ratings, kidgolf94 stick to playing crazy golf

GASH GASH GASH. WHAT ARE THESE GREENS??? I WOULD RATHER PUTT DOWN AT THE LOCAL ALLOTMENTS.
-
Played here on Saturday 9th January in the snow believe it or not. The greenkeepers had brushed all the fairways compacting the snow and shovelled it all off the greens. It was brilliant and good fun, they even provided us with a complimentary cup of soup which was very welcome. A big thank you to all at Pryors Hayes for such a great day, can't wait to play it in the summer.
-
Played again and still dry and on greens, they have build a teaching hut with all the new technology and freddy valenti (club pro) is giving lessons. looks great. they were setting up for wedding reception and live band, the set up was excellent and i would concider this for party. i had great day of golf, food was nice and staff and members were friendly and welcoming. would go again and consider membership. malc

posegolfer u must have had a bad round as i have played there a few times and it is allways in good condition, i play of 5 and the water hazards come into play quite a lot. try for the green on the 11 and u can hit the green but water all the way down rightside of fairway. 13 dogleg left but u can cut corner if your brave. 16 par3 over water and a long way of whites. tryed playing of whites and foundit a differant course and a lot harder. i chalange anyone to play this course and say there is no wow facter. anyway clubhouse and food and proshop all great and now they have room for funtions. go check this course out

Read all the reviews on this course and thought this sounds great, playing the course was another matter I had read somewhere that the first five holes are the toughest around I did not think so the tee boxes where poor the greens had just been spiked so I cant really comment on them. The course had no wow factor about it and some of the municipals I have played have been more interesting. The members where very friendly and the clubhouse is very nice unfourtunatley I cannot say the same about the course.

Many greens difficult to hit. Quiet a few holes with a very good wow factor, green & tees kept in very good condition, excellent price for the course & only £20 for a buggy. Bargain
