What we say
Our club is located high above the town of New Mills and is situated in one of the most stunning locations in the whole of Derbyshire. The panoramic view of the Kinder Plateau from the 3rd tee must rank as one of the finest views from any golf course in Britain whilst the equally magnificent view across Greater Manchester and the Cheshire Plain from the 15th tee offers another awe inspiring perspective. Who said golf was a good walk spoilt? When you’ve got this kind of scenery around you, even if you‘re having a truly awful round this has to be one of the best places to suffer!
Whether you’re an experienced, accomplished golfer or simply someone wanting simply to try the game, our club offers you some tremendous deals. For the beginner our ‘Academy Package’ makes getting into golf easy, fun and affordable through a carefully structured four stage approach without the need to commit to the expense of full membership straight away but with the benefits of professional tuition and even the loan of clubs! Our special rates for Juniors, 18-21 year olds and for 22-30 year olds means that golf no longer needs to be an expensive game beyond the reach of young people. For all other age groups we have both 5 and 7 day annual membership deals for men and 7 day membership deals for ladies available all without joining fees.
Available in our newly extended and refurbished clubhouse is a wide range of appetizing meals and snacks, where members and visitors alike can enjoy a relaxing drink and some food. We have a wide range of social events in our friendly clubhouse. The members know you will soon become addicted to this fantastic, though frustrating, game called golf.

I have played this course in 2010 and enjoyed the course layout and spectacular setting and views. That said I was put of re-visiting due to the downright rude reception we got from the steward. When we had the audacity to try and order food from the bar we were told how busy the stewards wife was (there were only the four of us in the clubhouse!) I was then served a mustard coulour "fresh orange" which was clearly bad and which even the steward refused to drink when I asked him if he would drink it! This year I heard they had changed steward so, liking the course itself, I gave it another try. Wow what a difference one person can make! The course is still in great condition, the members themselves are still friendly , so far so good. Then, after our round I went in the clubhouse, a new steward and a new attitude clearly prevails. We were greated with a smiling and friendly welcome unlike the previous grump! We ordered and enjoyed a lovely meal and truely fresh oragne juice from a menu with plenty of choice. It just goes to show what a difference one person can make to a golf club, I for one will be going back again and I recommend you give it a try if you haven't already.

To a relative newcomer to golf this course is superb. Elevated with views all round. Initially forgiving with wide fairways but with a couple of real testers, particularly on the back nine. Good shop, warm welcome and lots of friendly 'hellos' in the car park. And, with my 2fore1, excellent value. Can't wait to play it again.

Tees & Greens outstanding & well maintained. 1 of the best back nines I’ve played in a long time with 12th & 16th & 18th hole outstanding playing blind t-shots across the fair way. Front nine I am led to believe is relatively new which requires a few more obstacles leaving fairways & greens very open. Although course is kept in pristine condition (just wish it hadn’t rained all day)
