Little Lakes Golf Club

What we say

Originally formed in 1975 as a 9 hole golf course, Little Lakes Golf Club has received substantial investment and remodelling to create what is today one of the most popular golf clubs in the county.

The current 18 hole layout opened in 2000 to much acclaim and has rapidly established itself as a popular venue for many society, corporate and county union events.

The golf course, built on the edge of the dramatic Wyre forest (spectacular in the Autumn), is a traditional parkland golf course with a unique feel for encouraging shots more akin to links golf.

Many water features have been added to enhance the golf course and to further develop the name and image of Little Lakes

  • 4.5 out of 5 Little Lakes - A Real Gem of a Course

    By Anonymous

Visited this gem of a course on 02/07/2012; we had not heard too much about Little Lakes, but if far exceeded our expectations.  Our welcome on arrival was great, the Pro Mark was very informative and shared his knowledge with us on our first visit.  The course was a good test, some very tight holes, some of which were blind and tucked away.  The greens and fairways were in excellent condition.  The tee's were not the best, but did not detract from our enjoyment.  The views of the countryside around the course are lovely (also saw deer roaming); it is definitely worth a visit and is as good if not better than Wharton Park.  For the less mobile, I would recommend a buggy, it is up and down in parts. The bar food and beer was good, brilliant value. I do not usually write reviews, but feel that this was well deserved and was EXCELLENT value for money.  We will be back!

  • 3.5 out of 5 Great Course, Great Views, Great Value. its GRRRREAT!!!

    By The Eagle

Tees in excellent condition, fairways superb, greens good (only just been hollowtined), normally great. Friendly welcome, nice clubshop, course in great condition for time of year. Great views, really quiet(except for RAF jets passing over-awesome!!). You will struggle to find better for the money!

  • 3.5 out of 5 What great views!!

Excellent course with some terrific views, even had RAF planes overhead! Tees ok but greens excellent for this time of year. Need to be straight rather than long. Welcome was great(as always). All in all a great course!!

  • 3 out of 5 Gem hidden in woods

    By Anonymous

An absolute gem of a place hidden in the woods. The clubhouse facilities are used by holiday home owners who have villas in the woods. There is even an outside pool to cool off in . The course is not hard or long but is very pleasant with some interesting holes. Due to the clubhouse facilities this place is ideal for societies as the food is fantastic. Full cooked breakfast,tea/coffee,OJ,toast and filled rolls for lunch (but your still stuffed after breakfast) and a 3 course evening meal which you wont beat anywhere. All this for £28 the last time I went. Bargain. Marks out of 5: Course-3 Clubhouse-3 Facilities-3 VFM-5+

  • 3 out of 5 Below average

    By Anonymous

The course was in below average condition even allowing for this time of year (mid March). 4-ball members in front wouldn't let 2-ball through. General attitude of members left a lot to be desired...up and down course. Couple or so interesting holes.

  • 3.5 out of 5 Peaceful but tough!

Excellent course. Very quiet with some stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Tees were good whilst the greens were very good for this time of year. Fairways were in good condition only thing to spoil them were the vast amount of leaves that sometimes made it difficult to find your ball on the odd occasion i do hit a fairway!! All in all very good!!
