What we say
A testing course for all handicaps. It’s ever-maturing and has it’s own natural drainage, so it rarely closes. The star hole is the par-3 16th. There’s no room for error, with the green virtually surrounded by water.
Whitefields Golf Club's golf course is a testing par 71, a genuine challenge for all handicaps. The ever maturing golf course was opened in 1992, has its own natural drainage and rarely closes. With Draycote Water lapping the 13th hole, stunning views can be found all year round but the signature hole is surely ‘Curlies Corner’ which has no room for error. At 184 yards from the medal tee, the green, surrounded by water, has ruined many a scorecard. The par 4 15th is also a nerve tester and aptly named ‘Temptation’ - it has water on both sides of the hole, which needs a good drive and nerve to reach the green from the tee. Also on site is a comfortable 50 rooms hotel, an 18 hole putting green, a 16 bay floodlit driving range and a practice chipping and bunker practice area. Showers and changing rooms are available within the Draycote complex.

It's been a while since I last played this course and I wondered why, good value, helpful staff and a smashing course in very good condition, a most enjoyable round, in the bar the staff were polite and efficient and how often these days do you get offered a POT of coffee - nice touch.

Apart from holes 12, 13 and 16, the course is boring. If you go in the bar for food, make sure you have plenty of time to spare and a lot of cash in your pocket. Many better courses in the area.
-
Poor layout. Tees in bad condition but fairways were worse. Greens not great. Off the course the food is expensive, service very slow and the facilities are below average. Will not be returning.

Great hospitality by all staff , coarse was in good condition, will play again well worth a visit.great views from some holes not too hard for the half decent player ,good pratice areas hotel if needed.

Played this course twice in last two days and must say was very impressed. Considering the amount of play on the course it is in good condition, the greens are especially good. The practice facilities are excellent as is the attached Draycote Hotel. My only criticism is that it is very busy and consequently play can be very slow. However this would not put me off visiting again.

A really good golf course without being spectacular, The first tee sits 15 yds from a pond which everytime i have played the course has set playing partners nerves jangling, the set up is nice, it is rarely closed but this doe's not make it a bad course at all. greens are always even and in good shape and the par 3's are very testing with the 16th being by far the most difficult to par. well worth a visit you will not be disappointed. The driving range and short game area's are well done and the bar in the draycote hotel is warm but a little pricey. I shall visit whitefields again and again, class golf course

Have played this course loads of times - though only once this year - and still enjoy it. Theres no clubhouse as such, but the practice facilities are excellent. There are usually some deals on and its good value. The greens are usually very good and considering the course seems to be used a lot, its usually in good nick. There aren' t too many 'samey' holes and its pretty forgiving. The best holes are on the back nine, with either water in view or in play - the par 4 by Draycote water and the 16th to an almost island green are the best holes. Well worth a go.

Booking the course was superb and they were very welcoming. The course was in good condition considering it was November with the greens playing fast. My only critisism is that the play was very slow, as a 2 ball it took us over 5.5 hrs to get around with quite a bit of standing around waiting. Both my playing partner and I loved the 13th, 15th and 16th holes as they are proper golf holes. The tee's weren't that flat and were quite bare in some places however overall I was impressed and would definately play the course again.

I'm a member of this course and think it is spot on. Fantastic condition all year round. Can be a little slow getting round and some of the tees aren't to level, but all this is masked by the breathtaking views of Draycote water and the tough challenge presented by every hole. Great value for money, and excellent facilities on site. Give it a go, i dont think you'll be disappointed
