What we say
Purley Chase Golf Club's 18-hole golf course is a par 72 over 7,000 yards of championship tees. A pleasure to play, with lush fairwaysto please the eye, the golf course features lakes on some of the shorter holes. Undulating greens bring an added challenge and excitement for players at all levels.
By definition, golf courses are located in rural surroundings, and Purley Chase is no exception. However, despite being in the country we are within easy reach of the cities of Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham.
If you enjoy good golfing on a challenging golf course, accompanied by good food and drink served in a four star clubhouse in a convivial atmosphere, you will find nowhere better than Purley Chase Golf Club.

This is a decent course, but nothing special. It was £25 for a visitor on a weekday so there are probably better deals around - the tees and greens were very good but some holes were a bit scruffy and the bunkers were full of stones. That said , there are a good mix of pretty challenging and narrow holes and with leaves on the trees and on a better day weather wise, I am sure that the overall impression would be better.

Things have changed from the last review i read, so i felt compelled to write this one. The course is still as challenging. However the bunkers are being re done. There are new winter mats that have been put down which must have cost a fortune they look like real grass and are ace to tea off from. There are new ball washers and lips in the cups. The Club house has also started to do a Sunday carvery dinner with a choice of 3 meats, with home cooked yorkshire puddings which are to die for . woh. Alot of the drainage of the course is also being sorted out , so things are looking very bright for the spring at purley

Played in the junior open this year. The course is brilliantly designed with a great variety of holes and awesome par 3s. However it was very badly kept. The greens were good but the fairways tees and bunkers were below average. However i did play when it was quite wet. All in all a great course that is an exciting challenge just a shame it wasn't in better nick when i played it.
