Henley Golf and Country Club – Par 3

What we say
The build-up is impressive here at the Henley Golf and Country Club with the long and winding road leading to the golf course. However, first impressions can be misleading – Henley is no Wentworth and if you’re expecting something on an equally grand scale, you’ll be disappointed. However, on the positive side Henley is a relatively new, maturing golf course which can be enjoyed by low handicappers and hackers alike. Okay, it’s newness is clearly apparent and there’s nothing dynamic about the layout though, to be fair it, was in excellent overall shape. The golf course is probably overshadowed in more ways than one by its superb modern clubhouse complete with balcony.
The Henley Golf and Country Club Golf Course opened in 1994 and is maturing well. It is constantly being developed and improved upon.

Played here 3 or 4 years ago and thought it OK. Played today & it was like a different course - more interesting water features, well drained and quite challenging. The high point without doubt the greens - I would say some of the best I've played this year. Good bar food as well. Well worth a visit

For the time of year, it was in good condition. The fairways and greens both looked really nice and to be honest it was great to play. The owners have done a lot of work on the course and it's paid off.

The course was generally in good condition, not bad at all. I've played here a lot over the past eight years and it's changed a helluva lot. In fact it's 100% better than it was.
-
It's challenging and can be a long course, specially if the wind is blowing - it's relatively open. It's improved a lot over the years though it still needs to mature.
-
A nice course, but as of July 2006 in poor condition - fairways devoid of grass due to no fairway irrigation. Tees are flat and greens are good and true. A good layout where you do not feel overlooked and there is enough to offer all golfers interest. Holes 12-16 are a bit plain but the rest of the course offers interest. Nice clubhouse and easy access from motorway (without any m/way noise).

It's an improving course and the trees they planted 12 or 13 years ago are starting to become a nuisance now! I wouldn't say there's any outstanding or memorable holes though they're all pretty good.
