Whittington Heath Golf Club

What we say
It is not on the short side either at just over 6,500 yards so requires plenty of good ball-striking to score well. Whittington is a really popular heathland course which is backdropped by Lichfield Cathedral and weaves between swathes of heather, gorse and mature woodland. One of the genuine hidden gems of English golf.
Welcome to Whittington Heath Golf Club, one of the oldest in England and has been described by Martin Hawtree as “Classic golfing country”.
Its 6490 yard golf course with a challenging par 70 and is a real test for golfers of all experiences. The Club has played host to a number of top amateur events. In most recent years the Carris Trophy, Women's County week and the Women's Home Internationals.

Played twice now and the course is in great condition. Some short holes (helps your card) but a few long holes. Penal rough lined with trees but a score score can be managed if straight. I would recomend this course to anyone as everything is superb my only slight criticism is that the clubhouse has seen better days however dont let this put you off a tremendous course.
