What we say
Play & Save – book your next tee time NOW online … Ignore the ramshackle state of Uttoxeter Golf Club’s clubhouse (it’s about to be extended and improved anyway), it’s the golf course that matters and, it must be said, Uttoxeter is the home of a fine, impressive undulating (very undulating in places) golf course. It’s on high ground overlooking the race track and must be an an absolute joy to play in the summer though it can be hard work and a bit of a slog out-of-season. You’ll be in your element if you enjoy playing off elevated tees and you’ll really be drooling at the stunning par 3 12th, its green being guarded front right by a small pond.
Uttoxeter Golf Club's golf course started as a nine-holer in 1970 but it was decided to extend it to a full 18-hole layout in February 1986.
Uttoxeter Golf Club is undoubtebly one of the country's best kept secrets.
With its small greens and tight lines, the course is a fine test of golf for the low handicapper whilst providing the higher handicapped player with a variety of options at each hole.
Excellent putting surfaces, manicured fairways, uniform rough and extensive views across the Dove Valley to the rolling hills of Staffordshire and Derbyshire all collude to intensify the sheer joy of just being there.

Played the course twice in 2 weeks very interesting with some testing holes .well kept and friendly staff excellent value for money also.
-
Two of us took a day out and enjoyed it. it's quite hard work due to the hilly nature of the course, and one or two of the criss-crossing fairways require care to negotiate. Who won? the course did! Good value food after the round.
-
played here 5 years ago.well presented, tricky greens and tight fairways now t he course looks shabby and tired.pity as it was worth a game once come on uttoxeter you can do better than this!
-
It's a beautiful course with superb views, a pleasure to play. It's not easy, in fact it's downright difficult specially for first-time visitors.

Straight from our arrival we could tell we would have a great day,the guy in the golfshop was very pleasant, and we soon got on our way,the course was fantastic and well laid out and was a great challenge,t he greens were very fast and hard to read.the only thing i could say that was a let down were the bunkers, there was hardly any sand in them(it looked like builders sand as well) and lots of little stones but apart from that we had a thoroughly enjoyable game and will definately be going back later in the year, hopefully when the greens have slowed down abit

A lovely tight but hilly course which gives wonderful views. It's just one of thoe courses that can trip you up each time you play it.
-
Played this course, using 2-Fore!-1, this winter for the first time and my party really enjoyed it from start to finish. Condition was excellent for the time of year, with no mats or winter greens. There are some tricky blind tees which makes the course interesting to play. Very good value for money, we paid £12 each with 2-Fore!-1 vouchers.

The ongoing work has produced a quality course with outstanding fairways and greens. A lot of golfers say it's tight, I'd prefer to say it's challenging
-
Uttoxeter is a very friendly place to play and the par 3s are fantastic. You stand on every tee eager in anticipation that something will happen. It's fun, if unpredictable...
-
You don't mind walking up and down the hills when the slopes make a round this interesting. A particular treat as the sun begins to go down, and its cheaper then too!

Good price, good course and a good welcome. Loved it and will be back
