Lichfield Golf & Country Club (formerly Seedy Mill) – Mill Course

What we say

BOOK A TEE TIME HERE FOR GREAT SAVINGS… It’s an easy walking course with generous fairways. No two holes are the same, which makes the round interesting. The 494-yard 9th is the star hole. A good drive is needed to carry long stuff ahead of the ladies’ tee.

Lichfield Golf & Country Club's golf course opened in 1991 There is an 18-hole golf course and a nine-hole par-3 layout. Lichfield Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside in a tranquil setting surrounded by farmland with magnificent views.

  • 3 out of 5 Course designed just to get numbers round quickly

    By Sam Redding

I used to be a member here when i was younger and learnt to play here. but now I have a single figure handicap and been playing a more chanlenging course each week I can see this is just a course designed to get numbers round quickly. They are very stright and boring holes with greens that can easily be reached in regulation. Also staff were not helpful. I entered a tournement there when i was younger which i would of won by several shots to then be informed that I couldn't win as I was under 21. I now feel that the club is mainly focusing on the gym side and not so much on the golf club side.

  • 1.5 out of 5 Water water everywhere

    By grantsproston

First the welcome, yes they were polite enough but when I go for a round of golf I don't want to spend five minutes giving my name, address etc so they can send me a letter about membership, try saying your not interested and get met with a blank look until the info is forthcomming. Once you've left the club house (all very sparkly and new but mostly for the gym memebers) a little miffed and a few £s lighter (over priced) you are met with a pleasant enough but rather flat parkland course with a little lack of imagination in the layout. Greens have been quite nice but with variable pace on the couple of occaisions I have played, there is a bit of water on the front nine but the back is like a water park. Overall I was playing golf so it could have been worse, but I wish courses wouldn't put championship course in their title when clearly the only thing ever played there is the monthly medal.

  • 3 out of 5 prepair for a long game

just joined this april. nice course, nice place, nice people, shame about the very slow play. took me 4 hours to do 12 holes.

  • 2.5 out of 5 great stuff

    Good Value for money..

  • 2.5 out of 5 Some interesting holes

    By Anonymous

An interesting course with a variety of holes, 18th is an exciting challenge and the par 5s in particular offer scoring opportunities if hazards can be avoided. Also some par 4s are in range with the driver. However, electricty pylons spoil some of the holes a bit and some of the members were not welcoming. Staff were friendly.

  • 4 out of 5 Good for beginners and those more skilled than I

What a pleasant surprise, nice staff, lovely course, not too hard for us beginners, Myself and six colleages have just joined the club on a Corporate Membership, can't fault the place. Stay on the fairway or you could loose a few balls.

  • 3 out of 5 Midlands 'must'

Well laid out, fairly flat parkland course, not the longest but lots of water which needs careful management. A pleasure to play.

  • 2.5 out of 5 Pleasant but very average

This is a flat parkland course with some water. There anre some testing short holes, especially on the first half, the second half slowly becoming undistinguished. Good driving range, nice little par 3 facility. Very nice clubhouse bar. Good for a day out.
