Played the course in June (2015) greens in perfect condition nice and quick staff vey pleasant and helpful, fairways testing but fun small greens guarded by bunkers on some holes. £30 for a day ticket on a 2 4 1 is great value and would recommend to all golfers.

Set in lovely countryside, Izacc Walton is quite an open parkland course with a few water hazards and greens on the small size, making for more of a challenge. There has been some good improvements since last year (2014) and the course was in lovely condition. The greens had just been over-seeded and sanded which made them tricky but will make for a true and fast surface in the summer. Bunkers were on the small size and the sand was a bit heavy making a full sand shot difficult as the greens tended to be extremely close and small. Found a welcome from the members we met and enjoyed a bite in the clubhouse after a round. The clubhouse felt comfortable and informal, not a bit stuffy. Try it, you will not be dissapointed!
