What we say
Beau Desert Golf Club: A glorious heathland that provides a memorable golfing experience
Beau Desert is a beautiful, often underrated and overlooked, heathland course with huge undulating greens. Your driving needs to be spot-on to find the tight fairways flanked by banks of heather and other shrubbery.
A round at Beau Desert provides a memorable golfing experience – from the intriguing short par-4 opener to the thrilling par-5 finale which requires a downhill approach to the clubhouse over a large area of more heather and long grasses.
In summary, provides heathland golf at its glorious best and we’re convinced if it was located in the Home Counties you’d be paying double the money.
Beau Desert: Course Description
The Beau Desert – which translates as "The Beautiful Wilderness" - Golf Club is situated at Hazel Slade near Hednesford on Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. The land that the course is on was land that was part of the Beaudesert Estate of Charles Henry Alexander Paget, 6th Marquess of Anglesey.
The golf course is a magnificent 18-hole Championship Golf Course which has hosted the "Open Championship" regional qualifying tournament 17 times and the "Carris" boys trophy in the past, showing that it must be a great round of golf!
Par is rarely beaten at Beau Desert, the large fast greens testing the skills of the very best golfers, it is more than likely the course would be too difficult for beginners.

What a cracker, even for a mug golfer like me, greens great, fairways unfair if you cannot keep on them, a real test of accuracy and length, enjoyed it very much, food and welcome from staff and members warm.

An beautiful course that if you play you will not be disappointed. The 18th to the club house is great.
