What we say
The Wrekin Golf Club's golf course has been described as 'a downland and undulating parkland golf course with some magnificent views', which seems a fair description! The golf club started on the golf links attached to Wrekin College. By 1907 the club, then known as Wellington Golf Club, moved to a nine hole layout on land adjacent to Steeraway Farm, Wellington. Wrekin Golf Club celebrated its centenary in 2005 with various events particularly during centenary week 25th June to 3rd July. The clubhouse has been modified, particularly the Gents facilities, and we look forward to welcoming friends old and new.
