Oswestry Golf Club

What we say
The Oswestry Golf Club moved to its present site in 1931, although its history dates further back in time. The current site's course is a pleasant undulating parkland golf course situated 3 miles east of Oswestry and 15 miles west of Shrewsbury, connected by the main A5 trunk road, making it easy to get to. The city of Chester is only 30 minutes away via the Wrexham A483 bypass. Although you would not describe the golf course as tight there are many trees, it is feasible to have 'tree trouble' on every hole on the golf course, but unlikely on some.

Oswestry is by far one of the best courses in Shropshire with lush greens, tees and fairways even in march. Not an easy course but their are birdie chances if you keep the ball in play. The course is vey mature with many trees lining the fairways. A very tidy golf club with loads of history with Ian Woosnam playing his junior golf here.
