What we say
Tee off in one country and putt out in another! BOOK A TEE TIME HERE…
Positioned On the Welsh Border with the County of Shropshire lies Llanymynech Golf Club, affectionately known locally as "The Hill".
Don't let that nickname put you off though. It is the unique position of the golf course atop one of the area's most important historical hill forts, where Caractacus made his last stand against the Romans, affording the breathtaking views of both the Shropshire Plains and the mountains of Snowdonia and Mid-Wales.
This is the golf course on which Ian Woosnam learned his game before going on to become one of the best there is. Ian still holds the Professional Golf Course record of 65.
This may also be possibly the only golf course you will ever play where you can tee off in one country and putt out in another, on the same hole incidentally. Indeed, there are 15 holes in Wales and 3 in England, with the 4th Hole actually crossing the border as you play it.

This course isn't the longest but it doesn't need to be. the undulating fairways make position much more important than distance. Blind shots and elivated tees and greens will make it one of the most interesting days golf you will have, and if your lucky and go to the course on a clear day you can see 7 counties from the 12th tee. I have been a member of the course for 2 years and i live in London need i say more.
