Henlle Park Golf Club

What we say
Henlle Park Golf Club has a premier parkland golf course. Undulating, and just over 6000 yards long, it comprises five par 3s and five par 5s, with a selection of medium par 4s. Two loops of 9 holes return to the clubhouse and car park.
Immensely enjoyable to play, the undulating land and trees provide varied and interesting holes. This is accompanied by superb views over the course and surrounding countryside, with three shots over water, and two others where water is a strategic hazard.
The greens have been built to USPGA standards. This high-specification free-draining construction ensures good quality year-round playability. A computerised pop-up sprinkler irrigation system services all greens and tees.

I played here in a competition at the end of September and unfortunately I was not utterly impressed. The condition of the course was ok but every hole in my view lacked interest. For somebody off a 15 handicap to hit a 77 shows it is not a challenge! Plus don't let the website decieve you for it seems to be the only website which makes the club seem better than it is! However the clubhouse is impressive but impractical too! Personally I would say don't make it a golf day venue! It is the course to play on a late summers evening and just saunter round.

With the arrival of the new clubhouse this golf club has vastly improved within the area. The course was in very good condition for the time of year and as a visitor £15 is a bargain. Highly rated for the price and amongst the surrounding courses.

henlle park has a lot to look forward too with a new million pound clubhouse on the way in autumn 2007. the course however is still young and amongst the likes of oswestry and llangollen nearby, is very immature. the water features are immpressive and the par 3s are pretty tough. the wide open fairwys give you ammple room to rip one down their but hard greens make it difficult to stop it on them so practice your bump and runs!
