as soon as we arrived we were told that our 2fore1 voucher entitled us to play the three loops of nine, and so we were advised to start on deer park where i found out not go beyond the greens unless your phil mickelson ,and all that seems to catch your eye on the eighth is the "ocean" in front.we then moved on to badgers sett, and as you play the 5th and 6th holes you realise why we play this frustrating game. so we come to the foxes run where if your on the wrong tier on the 3rd then good luck.the 6th feels like the tighest hole on earth to a slicer off the tee.i think a black labrador stole my ball after my drive on the 7th and after middling my tee shot left of the lake on the 9th,my playing partner bieng a big hitter took on the water and guess where his ball lies great day/greens/food/drink

Founded by Robert and Graham Pain in July 1993, Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club has rapidly become one of the most popular golf courses in the Midlands. The golf course itself is made up of 27 exciting golf holes laid out in 3 loops of 9 that start and finish close to the clubhouse. I visited the course in the middle of January'06 on a Sunday & for an all day ticket with a 2-FORE!-1 the cost was £18 which is fantastic value. The course was in fantastic condition with the greens being hand cut which resulted in true & smooth putts. The fairways were firm & well manicured. At the time I played trolleys were required to have the ?hedgehogs? fitted to the wheels. Most of the tees were on grass with the exception of a few & if I were to be picky this was the only area that could do with improvement as the mats were less than perfect. Most courses have 1 signature hole but this place has 3. The 1st being the 9th on the Foxes course which is a short par 4 but made difficult with 2 lakes either side of the fairway. The 2nd, & probably the most spectacular within the midlands, is the 6th on the Badgers course which is a short par 3 but the green is 100ft below & surrounded by a shoe horse of water, anything other than a well placed shot ends in a watery grave. The 3rd is the 8th on the Deers course which is a long tricky par 3 with a huge pond just in front of the green, needless to say an accurate shot is a must. The clubhouse & changing facilities were excellent with areas for golfers & non-golfers to enjoy the surroundings either before or after a game of golf. The cost for 2 teas & 2 sausage sandwiches was £6 which I felt was good value for money. There are plenty of practice facilities, which include an 18-hole putting green, driving range, chipping areas & sand bunkers. This place also offers fantastic offers for society days & there best offer is Monday Madness where the cost of an all day ticket on Mondays is just £15!!
