Edwalton Golf Course – Main 1

What we say
The Ewalton Golf Centre is set within the heart of this historical county. Edwalton Golf Centre offers an excellent full range of facilities. The main nine-hole golf course opens with a challenging par 5, establishing the character of the rest of the golf course. This main nine hole golf course is surrounded by mature woodland, the layout is a pleasure to play. The holes are fairly long, with few hazards, but still challenging even for top golfers!
As a bonus to the main golf course at Ewalton Golf Centre - and ideal for beginners - is a nine-hole par 3 golf course.

I used to play Edwalton main course with my son when he was learning. I just recently decided to start playing again with a friend and I cannot believe the condition the course is in. Really good turn around from the state the course was in a couple of years ago. Excelent.

We used to play at this course a few years ago on the Par 3 before "graduating" to the main course and we have very fond memories of both. The course and the greens were excellent then bearing in mind it was a municipal and obviously had a great deal of use from golfers of all abilities however how standards have slipped under Glendale Golf !! We played there again quite recently and the green fee was I felt expensive for the condition of the course and especially the state of the greens. The management needs to improve if the course is to prosper as I feel golfers will vote with their feet and go elsewhere.

Played nine holes on the main course - what an absolute disgrace this course is in a the moment. Temporary tees that are moved round, fairways that are either under water or churned up that badly your ball just plugs and greens which are used by the local dogs as a toilet. To make it worse when mentioned to a member of staff the response was 'well it has had a lot of traffic on it recently'!!! As it is run by a private company is their philosophy 'make as much money as possible'??
