i played this coarse in the same group as dan (see below). when i arrived i thought that the place looked lovely, however it appears that this was a situation where we can safely use the phrase, dont judge a book by its cover! we decided to warm up for our round on the driving range. the range itself was not bad, but we were rather rudely affronted by the proffesional 'no bags allowed'. we had a quick look in the pro shop but didnt look for long as it was appaling. we played the coarse thinking that we had a bargain, ( we had read earlier reviews), the weather had not been great so i expected the greens to be slow, but at times i was finding it hard to tell the difference between greens, rough and fairway as all were3 long and had divots! after wards i checked the internet and was surprised to see that the coarse is not labled as a 'pitch and (try to) putt'! the next day we visited the coarse directly next door. with a warm welcome and a beautiful breakfast we hit the coarse....it was outstanding. the greens were in exellent condition especially with the weather we had, the coarse was a gem. great value. definatly worth a visit. at £15 a round you cannot go wrong!

This course is a must to play!! When I called to book my tee time and was told that Monday to Friday was £11 for 18 holes I thought this aint going to be much cop. I played it today and how wrong was I. The course is made up of two 9 hole courses. The first is the 'Deer' course which is USPGA quality course. The scenery was amazing, the fairways superb and the greens are the best I have ever played, unfortunately my golf didnt do the course justice!! The eighth hole is an absolute gem of a hole, comprising of plenty of water with waterfall and a stream guarding the green which ensures you play this hole strategically. The 'Badger' course is a not to be underestimated 9 hole comprising of 3 par 4's and the rest par 3's but the course is idyllic and a good test for your short game. But be aware some holes are very deceptive. The 'Badger' course was immaculately kept and the greens were superb but because of the quality of the 'Deer' course this 9 holer is very much in its shadows, but still fantastic and fun to play. As for facilities and hospitality, all the staff were really helpful and friendly and food was good too. My advice would to be give this a go and you wont be disappointed, the green fee was a bargain and seems to good to be true, but believe me the golf course was outstanding.
