It may be a bit flat and therefore not the most spectacular of links, but on the plus side this century-old layout has excellent greens and overall provides good value.

Founded in 1901, Sandilands Golf Club is an 18-hole links golf course with excellent greens and a par of 70. Sandy fairways and gentle undulations make a natural venue for golf all year round and the golden beaches which form this stretch of coastline are literally a stone's throw away.

Accommodation: The Grange and Links hotel is only a minute away and provides first-class accommodation and food.
