Belton Woods Hotel – Woodside Course

What we say
This golf course always drains really well and is always in good nick. There is water in play on qute a few holes and the subtle undulations can leave you with many awkward lies.
There are some great holes and the par-5 9th on the Lakes golf course is a massive 600 yards!

The Lakes Course at Belton Woods Hotel is a beautiful Par-73 that runs alongside the majestic woodlands on the estate.
It's slightly shorter than its sister course (The Lakes) and rewards patient golfers who can successfully negotiate the numerous natural hazards.
The undulating fairways add to the challenge, making this a good test of golf for beginners and pros alike.

Played on a wet and windy day, admittedly, but it seemed boggy and too soft to enjoy. The facilities are quite grand being a de Vere, but overall, this an OK course. I understand from people who have stayed that the food is not upto standard. Up the road at Belton Park the course is much more satisfying than either of the two at Belton Woods.

What a great golf course the Woodside is . Top quality fairways, bunkers you can play out of , and greens were superb. 18th hole backs onto restaurant - and a brilliant finishing hole. Overall £35 was a bit expensive , but was well worth the money.
