Having now played south Essex course three time I have to say that I am very impressed with the course and condition that it is kept, The whole course is very challenging with some holes that really test you , the greens are kept in a beautiful condition and its a pleasure to play there. the staff in the shop are very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable . I have also been able to have the T off times I wanted give or take 10 mins either side. the only area I feel could be improved on is the range of the menu on offer in the clubhouse. on the "hole" I would recommend this course to anyone.

The course is kept very well & it's great that there are 3 9 hole options so that you can mix & match. However they really need to update the changing rooms/toilets & the bar area!

On arrival myself and the others in our fourball decided to treat ourselves to a bacon roll and a cuppa, the young lady in the clubhouse was very friendly and polite which brightened the mood considering the weather which greeted us was dull to say the least. We then payed a visit to the pro-shop to pay for our round £12 on Greenfree vouchers and my customary green ball marker (i collect them) the pro was very miserable, bordering on the plain rude and not very helpful to say the least. Out on the course was a different story however...We were given the task of the Heron/Hawk combination, the tees, fairways and greens were all in immaculate condition, the fairways entwined themselves round trees and fairway bunkers that were placed strategically to cause problems both of the tee and nearer the green, funnily enough both me and my friends all found several bunkers each on our rounds. You could see the flags on the majority of the tees which was a big help, the greens themselves were in great condition and ran true if you were able to read the undulations well. No 2 holes were the same with both short and long par 3's as well as par 4's with doglegs...the par 5's seemed to play quite long however, but all in all an absolute bargain for £12...the only downside that i could see would be that it didn't seem to have any signature holes and did lack in character, but as a test of golf and the general condition it is a must play...will definately be back!!!

At last! 2 4 1 value at £10.50 Some intersting holes here and well kept greens. 3 nine holes that all have something to offer. Can get a bit busy but only because its such good value.

Although shooting a 105 would usualy ruin anyones round, i couldn't help but marvel at this well keep course. I played the heron and Hawk which doesn't have 2 holes that play the same. You've got your grip it and rip it holes along with your thoughtful holes which if you stray off of the fairways, then you are punnished. Greens are quick and contured. Looking forward to playing again soon!

I played this back in August and while it's a nice course I wasn't blown away. It also got quite busy. You can't fault the general condition though.
