What we say
Founded in 1968, Forrester Park Golf Club is situated in the Essex countryside, with beautiful panoramas of the River Blackwater.
With numerous water hazards and tree-lined fairways, Forrester Park rewards accurate golfers who can think their way around a golf course.
The fast greens will terst your putting stroke, but get the ball rolling well off the putter face and good scores are definitely possible.
Because of its good drainage, the course rarely has trolley bans and is playable all year round.

Very good for the money. The greens are kept very well. Although some say that there can be wholes that are very similar to each other, this is true but still ok non the less. Also depends on your standard.

Myself and my playing partner turned up and were welcomed in a friendly manner by the receptionist, we used the 2 fore 1 offer which was on my phone rather than the paper copy. This caused a minor discussion between the receptionist and the club pro which was resolved quickly. This was the first time we had played the course and we chose it because we both have a society day next month, so we sneaked round as time spent in recce is seldom wasted. There are some lovely holes, ranging from small Par 3's to testing par 4's. The sun shone and we had a lovely day. I am a 28 handicap, my partner is around 18 and we were both tested. He managed an eagle on the par 5 seventh which I am already sick of hearing about. It hit the flag and dropped into the hole, spawny devil. All in all a good day and time well spent in our prep for next month. I will be back. Thank you for a warm welcome.

I arrived around 8am to the course after already booking a tee in advance over the phone for 8:15. Already left with a positive impression from the helpful and informative receptionist who took my booking. The Club is somewhat of a Narnia as I was surprised to the extent of the facilities this country club offered as I arrived. My buggy was all ready to go and waiting for me and I made my way off to the 1st. Not the longest course in the world but lovely for accuracy. Fairways in great condition and the greens at times proved quite the challenge. After a most enjoyable round I headed to the 19th. The staff again backed up my first impression by being welcoming and friendly. My compliments must also go to the kitchen for a divine bit of breakfast that topped off a lovely morning of golf. Definitely worth a trip with a great course, friendly staff and complete value for money.

Called to get price and availability. Quoted a price of £20 on phone, they then asked for £25 when I arrived. They admitted they made a mistake, but stuck to the revised price. Money is more imporant to this club than customer care. Average course and club house. Better deals and courses else where in the area.
