Elsenham Golf Centre

Although the main course won’t blow you away, Elsenham is a decent modern golf complex with the excellent facilities including a three-hole Academy course. It’s a good spot for beginners then with the highlight of the 18 hole layout being the par-3 7th over a lake.

Elsenham Golf Centre, situated in Essex countryside, just over 4 miles from Stansted Airport, offers a 9 hole parkland course.

Don't be fooled by the length though, Elsenham has tricky greens, and a few strategically-placed bunkers, making this course a good challenge for anyone, from a novice to an experienced golfer.

With several teeing options on each hole, the course can be set up for 18 holes upon request.

  I've played this course a few times and it's very enjoyable. The course is well maintained with some beautiful holes. The greens are always in good condition and some of the pin positions can really test your ability on the greens. There are also several alternate tee's to make a full 18 slightly less repetitive. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Will continue to play here for some time yet.

  as an existing member im talking from  experience. the course is owned run and maintained by several people that dont play golf. to be fair the greens are ok and i would recomend people to play the course 1 or 2 times but leave it at that as it is a good challenge, but after that it becomes really repetitive and ensure you play at a quiet time otherwise you will be stuck behind hords or retirees trhat dont have a clue about etiquette. 2 hours to do seven holes stuck behind a three ball by myself  and thats common practice. no course marshall so things will never improve  and £20 a round at weekends can get you on a day ticket at haverhill gc with a 2for1 a bloody lovely course not too far away(20 mins drive) and the membership price is the same for both clubs. not the courses fault the owners lack of comittment let it down. in the correct hands could be a gem if the land for 9 more holes was aquired.
