There is a picture of Phil Mickelson in the pro shop and you can imagine him delighting in the shot-making required to prosper here. Its most famous holes are the 4th and 5th. The former has a blind drive to a hidden fairway followed by an approach to a green obscured by a hill while the latter is a blind par 3. Quirky as they are, they can give the wrong idea as to the sort of course this really is – elsewhere it is characterised by honesty and worthiness.
