A high climber in our 2012 GB&I rankings as we recognised the class of a course which can stand comparison with any in star-studded Surrey. There are mature trees dotted about but overall the feeling is one of space. Firm, quick-draining sandy turf, seas of heather and slick greens complete an impressive package.
