Club De Golf Novo Sancti Petri A feels very new and after a promising start fails to really catch fire. There are a few really good holes but a lot are quite samey. Every now and then you get a snapshot of amazing scenery, but often it feels quite plain and predictable. The greens are good and the clubhouse is ace.

Club De Golf Novo Sancti Petri A, Seve Ballesteros's first Spanish design was opened in 1990. A venue of European Tour quality (it hosted the Turespana Masters in 1993), the golf course has a water-strewn front nine and trees on the back. There are great views of Barrosa bay and the sea. Thiis was Seve's choice for the 1997 Ryder Cup, but narrowly missed out to Valderrama.

    Was hoping for much more. Very unfriendly club from the moment I arrived. This fits the mould of the 'old style'! Course was quite good but atmosphere ruined it for me...

    Great course but 9 holes were being renewed/renovated/modified. We played just after a very rainy period, so was almost waterlogged.
