What we say
El Paraiso Golf Club is one of the older golf courses in southern Spain, built by Gary Player and opened in 1974. The golf club has a British feel, with several streams criss-crossing the layout – but the spectacular flora, including oleander, jacaranda and Mimosa, is definitely Mediterranean.

Very nice, except the greens...

A pleasant surprise. It's primarily a member's club with competitions seemingly every other day (although getting a game there is no problem at all), but for the money it was good value. The course is in excellent condition with a good mix of holes - some tough, some easy, most are interesting with quite a few elevated tees. There are a couple of nice long par 3s. There's not too much danger, although having said that I lost my fair share of balls! Overall a nice course for comparatively little money. I'd recommend getting a buggy.
