East Cork Golf Club was founded in 1968 when Eamon and Peg Moloney converted their dairy farm into a nine hole golf course. The golf course is situated on the ourskirts of Midleton, bordered by two rivers, making it an ideal parkland location for a golf course.

The golf course was extended to 18 holes in 1975 and an extension to the clubhouse was completed in 1992. Don Mc Farlane came on board as the club professional and a new driving range was finished in 1999.
