What we say
The new 18 hole golf course is a magnificent USGA-standard parkland golf course, set in nearly 200 acres, between Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf Mountain with magnificent views of Killiney Bay and the Wicklow Mountains.
The golf course, which has been in play for 3 years, was designed by Des Smyth (2006 Ryder Cup Vice-Captain) and Declan Brannigan and is a striking example of modern design with old style golfing values. It provides the perfect environment for all golfers. The design strategy involved a tiered effect for the fairways, thereby negating to a large degree the effect of the sloping site on which the golf course was constructed. As a result a large number of the holes are relatively flat.
