Large-scale club resort which has been a regular stop on the European Tour. The course, which was built on rather featureless ground, has required quite a lot of earthmoving, but Dave Thomas has done an excellent job. Big greens that are hard to read, lots of mounding, plus the compulsory lakes add to the threat. 

Established in 1997, St Leon-Rot Golf Club offers two 18 hole championship courses, as well as a 9 hole short course. All of the courses offer considerable hazard, presented by prominent water features, in the form of lakes, as well as ample bunkers, providing a challenge to golfers of all abilities.
