Royal Zoute Golf Club – The Championship Course

What we say
Royal Zoute Golf Club – The Championship Course is an inland links with a classic feel. This is not a long course, but it’s still a great test with all the humps and hollows that you need to add character. The fairways look quite generous, but the bunkering is subtle and clever, so you do need your wits about you.

The Royal Zoute Golf Club was established in 1909 as the Knocke Golf Club. After the first World War, the club was relocated and rebuilt, as the Zoute Golf Club. The course that exists today was built after the second World War, and features 18 holes, with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers, guarding the greens.

Great course in excellent condition when I was there with no difficulty in following the direction of play. (Not easy on some courses for the first time). Very good warm up facilities and although not too hilly I did hire a Buggy to play as my Electric Trolley takes up too much car boot space. Pleasent surroundings , I think that the course is in the middle of an expensive residential area. Other players seemed friendly and did not mind strangers. Would play there again.
