Alex Perry is Today’s Golfer’s News Editor.
A golf industry stalwart, Alex has spent the majority of his career helping shape a number of golf publications, including Golfmagic, National Club Golfer and, most recently, Bunkered. Alex also spent several years at ESPN, where his finest hour came in Belgium when he covered Andy Murray bringing home the Davis Cup for Great Britain.
Alex attended the University of the West of England in Bristol, where he studied digital media, before obtaining an NCTJ qualification at News Associates in London.
He spends any free time he has playing video games and trying to get better at guitar. A Devonian with his heart still in the West Country, he is also a passionate Torquay United fan.
Alex is a keen golfer who claims to play off 12 and enjoys traveling the world to try new courses. His three favorite are Royal North Devon, the Old Course at St Andrews, and Royal Portrush – with special mentions for Okehampton and Bude & North Cornwall, where he first fell in love with the game.
He uses a Ping G425 driver and woods, TaylorMade Qi irons, TaylorMade MG4 wedges, and a Ping Anser putter. He doesn’t mind what golf ball he uses, and neither should you.
