Alex Perry is Today’s Golfer’s News Editor.
A golf industry stalwart, Alex has spent the majority of his career helping shape a number of golf publications, including Golfmagic, National Club Golfer and, most recently, Bunkered. He has covered multiple editions of golf’s four men’s majors, as well as every Ryder Cup on this side of the Atlantic since 2010.
Alex also spent several years at ESPN, where his finest hour came in Belgium when he covered Andy Murray bringing home the Davis Cup for Great Britain.
Alex attended the University of the West of England in Bristol, where he studied digital media, before obtaining an NCTJ qualification at News Associates in London.
He spends any free time he has playing video games and trying to get better at guitar. A Devonian with his heart still in the West Country, he is also a passionate Torquay United fan.
His three favourite golf courses are Royal North Devon, the Old Course at St Andrews, and Royal Portrush – with special mentions for Okehampton and Bude & North Cornwall, where he first fell in love with the game.
